Experienced leadership when an organization needs someone now.
When a leadership vacancy, leave, transition or operational challenge creates a gap, I step in to provide stability, accountability and forward movement. I work with small and midsize nonprofits, associations and community organizations—on site, remotely or through a practical combination of both.
Sometimes an organization needs steady leadership—not reinvention. I can hold the fort, keep approved plans and priorities moving, and make only the changes the situation requires and the organization has authorized.
Ways I Can Help
- Interim executive or operations leadership during a leave, vacancy or recruitment period
- Fractional leadership when senior capacity is needed but a full-time role is not
- Operational stabilization during transition, instability or rapid growth
- Defined implementation projects that need senior ownership and follow-through
- Remote or hybrid leadership when an organization needs someone at the helm without full-time onsite presence
What I bring
I bring more than 20 years of administrative, operational and leadership experience, including Executive Director roles with nonprofits, associations and community organizations. My work has included governance support, staff leadership, budgeting, policies and compliance, strategic planning, systems, and the practical day-to-day decisions that keep an organization functioning.
Examples from past work
Maintaining direction through transition: During an interim Executive Director assignment, I kept the organization moving within its approved 2024–2026 strategic plan, made only minor or Board-approved changes, and recruited a CFO who later stepped into the Executive Director role.
Turning scattered knowledge into a usable system: I created an A-to-Z procedures and operations binder that captured key processes, responsibilities and access information, reducing dependence on memory and making future handoffs easier.
Building financial understanding and accountability: I introduced practical budget training and open Q&A so managers could better understand and take ownership of their budgets, while strengthening credit-card controls to improve oversight and reduce risk.
How work happens
Before work begins, we agree in writing on who I report to, what I am there to accomplish, the decisions I can make, the time available and how progress will be communicated. You receive weekly updates, important issues are raised quickly, and the work ends with a clear handoff or next-step plan.
Let’s Talk
If your organization is facing a leadership gap or operational challenge, let’s have a practical conversation about what is happening, what support would be most useful and whether I may be the right fit. You do not need to have the role or scope fully figured out before reaching out.
